Celebrating more than 40 remarkable years in the music industry, Green extends his heartfelt gratitude to longtime supporters and new fans alike. A full-time musician, composer, songwriter, and producer, William Green is deeply passionate about his craft, pouring his heart and soul into every performance. He delivers funky, upbeat, soulful, and contemporary jazz sounds, exuding unforgettable stage appeal and masterful showmanship. Green possesses one of those rare, “instant classic” voices—forceful yet gentle—while his music remains beautiful, lyrically refreshing, vocally and melodically unique, timeless, rich, and unmistakably jazzy. His six albums showcases an exceptionally well-composed collection of original songs that he personally wrote and produced. His most recent album, Good To Go, debuted live on September 27, 2025, and was officially released on October 27, 2025. He is currently, and continuously, working on new music. He has written and produced for numerous artists and continues to provide audiences with not only high-quality music but also a captivating display of showmanship that sparks the imagination. “I pride myself on creating timeless music that can be shared with the world for a lifetime. It is important for me to create timeless music because I recognize the lack of musical integrity that now exists in the music industry,” says Green.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, William Green—an extraordinary pianist and singer-songwriter—grew up surrounded by music, and his love affair with the piano was evident from an early age. “As a child, I listened to Gospel, Pop, Soul, and Jazz music. My parents didn’t play an instrument, but they allowed me to learn how to play the piano and organ.” Some of his influences include Herbie Hancock, George Duke, Joe Sample, Stevie Wonder, and the legendary Quincy Jones. “I learned to play by ear, basically on my own, and then took piano lessons while in grammar school,” says Green. “In high school, I learned music theory and composition. While in college, I learned how to write and perform my own original music. “William Green, a graduate of Chicago Vocational High School, later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1978 to further his education at Morehouse College and Georgia State University, majoring in commercial music. Atlanta is where he has resided and called home for more than 45 years.
